Durable hinges and fittings designed to withstand high demand
All the doors we produce at Glass Age Ltd in Glasgow are individually manufactured to suit your opening size and design. We offer fixed, hinged, sliding and folding systems, which are typically manufactured in 10mm or 12mm thick toughened glass. The glass can be clear, sandblasted, tinted or could have an etched design for a decorative effect.

Our internal glass door hinges are built to handle up to 50kg per pair, fitting glass from 8mm to 10mm. These hinges are compatible with the Claustra and Quadra locks and come with gaskets and screws for easy installation on timber or metal frames.​
Modern glass wall technology with sliding and folding systems
For adaptable spaces, our range of German-engineered glass wall systems includes single and multi-panel folding, as well as sliding systems. Each design, from head tracks to exposed rails, integrates seamlessly, and our Fluxo single rail sliding doors provide a minimalist look that enhances the glass area while supporting diverse architectural visions.

Door rails and side panel rails
for tempered glass doors & screens
The door rail system offers flexibility of choice in the width of doors from 600 mm to 14 mm. Glass cut cuts are not required. A choice of interchangeable pivots is available for different types of floor mounted door closers, overhead concealed closers and free swing installations. The simple method of manufacture allows the use of interchangeable cover plates with a unique fixing method using a rod and shaped extrusion. This eliminates the problem of distorting the covers during assembly or maintenance.

A choice of five different cover finishes is available, including satin anodised aluminium, dark bronze anodised, satin stainless steel, polished stainless steel and polished brass. The covers can also be painted to standard RAL finishes.

Integrated locks with revolving security pins are available for both top and bottom rails. Locks can also be a retro-fit option.
Doors rails are fitted with weather strip wipes.
These are pressed into the extrusion during manufacture.
Glass thicknesses of 10 mm, 12 mm and 15 mm can be accommodated as standard.
All parts of any door rail can be replaced or changed individually. In many instances the doors do not have to be removed.

Doors rails are very easy to use. With automatic overhead swing door operators as the design, this allows a simple fixing of the arm to the rail and concealment of cables for presence sensors. The rails are also ideally suited to the application of mag-locks and other types of access control for both public and private buildings.

Patch fittings and panic hardware for tempered glass doors
We offer over 2500 different fittings in many design variations and we also offer a combination of the Casma range of door fittings and standard Briton panic hardware set. By bringing these two established products together we are able to offer a system of panic hardware tailored exactly for the installation of glass doors. Each hardware door set is made specifically by our engineers to allow easy installation on site. They are used on many public buildings in the UK, and finishes are available in satin stainless steel and stove enameled silver.​
